This (UIF) Unemployment Insurance Acts Poster, contains summaries of the acts governing the UIF and informs workers of their rights. These Acts provide for the benefits, to which contributors are allowed, and the imposition and collection of the contributions, respectively. These include unemployment, maternity, adoption, illness, death and other benefits.
Employees, as well as their employers, are responsible for contributions to Unemployment Insurance in South Africa, however, some employees are excluded from contributing to the UIF.
